Chickens help with pest control and enjoy living alongside, and cleaning up after, our sheep. They also provide eggs for our humans and dogs.

Birch Forest Farm has heritage breed chickens called the Speckled Sussex. It’s a hearty bird that specializes in foraging and has a natural camouflage. They are friendly, great hunters, and lay large eggs.

During the summer, we’ll run small batches of meat birds for private consumption. If you’d like to have us raise some chickens for you please fill out an order form.
